Picturesque Hartwell has it all
South Midlands - 27/08/2008
Set off Park Road in the picturesque Northamptonshire village of Hartwell lies Salcey Grange, our latest development in the county.
Located between Northampton and Milton Keynes, Hartwell is a friendly and active community with historic links to the Iron Age. Within the village is Hartwell Parish Church, Hartwell CE Primary School and The Rose and Crown pub. Other amenities include the local community centre, recreational ground, village shop and Conservative Club. The village also has its own branch of the WI which organises many local events including film shows, local walks and charity events, most of which are accompanied by homemade cakes!
Immediately to the east of the village is the Royal Forest of Salcey Managed by the Forestry Commission, this magnificent ancient woodland offers excellent walking and opportunities to view an amazing range of wildlife. The forest is a remnant of the medieval royal hunting forest. Reminders of the past can still be found, with many miles of ancient woodbanks, building remains and ancient trees. The 'druids' or veteran oaks in Salcey are rare and amazing wildlife habitats, and some of the old oaks are believed to be over 500 years old.
With a selection of stone and traditional brick elevations, Salcey Grange has been thoughtfully planned to blend harmoniously with its surroundings and comprises a charming mix of two, three, and four bedroom homes.
Elaine Brown, Sales Manager for our South Midlands Region observes, “Public reactions to this development have been outstanding and with such a good choice of styles and sizes of home we’ve got the mix just right here at Salcey Grange.
For commuters, Hartwell is the ideal choice with the M1, A45 and A508 all close at hand plus a railway station at Wolverton. Local shopping facilities are excellent at Northampton (7 miles) and Milton Keynes (8 miles). London is around 50 minutes away by train with an average of three services per hour.
Anyone interested in finding their ideal dream home should contact the sales centre and showhome which are open from Thursdays to Mondays from 10.00am to 5.00pm or telephone 01604 836450 for further details.
