It’s just one remaining at Chestnut Place
Date: 06/05/2008
Region: East Midlands
We have announced that our popular Chestnut Place development in Littleover now has only one property remaining, giving positive signals of activity in the local property market.
An exclusive development of just 14 homes, the development has proved fashionable with young couples and families looking to upgrade and secure a slice of this established residential area.
Located at the top end of Stenson Road, Chestnut Place was architecturally designed to compliment the existing traditional house styles and backdrop of mature trees, keeping its air of privacy and quiet seclusion. Whilst the lower end of Stenston Road in Sunny Hill has seen a lot of new build developments, the more desirable Littleover end remained relatively untouched until we recognised its potential and began work on Chestnut Place.
Marjorie Gregory, sales director at Bloor Homes East Midlands, said: “The success of Chestnut Place proves that there is still a high demand for new homes in the local market, where developers can identify up and coming locations and listen to local house hunters to deliver exactly what they are looking for.
“The suburb of Littleover, has long been popular with young couples and families. However, the success of Chestnut Place can be attributed to a number of factors besides its location.
“Although relatively intimate and exclusive, the development still offered plenty of choice across the 14 homes, with a blend of traditional two-storey designs and elegant three story townhouses. This variety ensured that it had a wide market appeal. The three and four-bedroom homes also incorporated a high specification along with a number of optional upgrades, allowing homebuyers tailor their choice according to their individual budgets and requirements.”
However, for house hunters who have missed the chance to buy at Chestnut Place, we still offer a range of properties in the Derbyshire area.
The Hollies in nearby Woodville continues to provide an ideal opportunity for young couples and families looking to upgrade to high specification homes. Situated off Moira Road, The Hollies is a mix of 56 new three and four-bedroom homes priced from just £159,000.
Nestled on the outskirts of Burton upon Trent, Woodville is in the midst of a ten-year regeneration programme, one already resulting in improved local facilities, new employment opportunities and revitalised public open spaces.
Following the success of Chestnut Place, we also continue to invest in the region with the newly launched Meredith Place at Ashby, a long awaited development of three and four bedroom houses on the site of the former McVities factory.
Marjorie Gregory said: “The Hollies is a larger development than Chestnut Place and provides an even richer variety of homes. The development has an established air to it thanks to the neighbouring Hawthorn Meadows site and the influx of families attracted to the first phase of our presence in Woodville.
“The homes at The Hollies are designed to reflect the emerging sense of style in Woodville. Home buyers have the opportunity to see this first hand with the two professionally styled show homes, by interior design firm Casa Belle, which give a real impression of the style, space and quality available at the scheme.
“Meanwhile, a third scheme in the region, Meredith Place, is causing a stir in the market because it is regenerating a site that lies at the heart of Ashby’s history and community, delivering new jobs to the area as well as new homes. In today’s market, it is important that people hear about these success stories and know that for us it is business as usual as we continue to invest in the region.”
